About the Role

The Senior Joint Venture Auditor will lead and participate in Joint Venture audits, ensuring that transactions are recorded correctly and in compliance with local Accounting and Tax legislation. The role involves reviewing bookkeeping, reconciliations, and accounting controls to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Leading Joint Venture audits, including Overhead, License, Logistics, Financial Vendor audits, and internal evaluations.Reviewing and supervising bookkeeping of accounts assistants to ensure accurate transaction recording.Reviewing reconciliations as necessary to ensure accuracy and compliance.Ensuring appropriate accounting controls are implemented and adhered to, identifying areas for improvement.Identifying and promoting opportunities to share knowledge within the team.Striving for high standards of delivery to clients to meet targets and exceed expectations.Making entries into accounting systems in accordance with accounting and tax regulations.Ability to handle issues, provide flexible options and recommendations, and escalate as appropriate.Reconciliation works relating to various accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Preparing documentations and information around complex accounting entries.Preparation of documents for audit purposes, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.Other administrative tasks assigned by Supervisors or Team Leaders.Responsible for timely reporting to clients and tax authorities.Communicating with clients regarding operational issues, providing clear and concise information.Keeping up-to-date with tax and accounting law changes, applying knowledge to real-world scenarios.Attending client meetings, representing the company with professionalism and expertise.

Requirements

Experience working in several accounting areas, preferably in oil and gas.Oil & Gas accounting (Joint Venture) experience, with a focus on joint venture audits.Visma, Capego, and/or SAP experience is an advantage.Ability to prioritize client work and learn new things daily.Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.Full proficiency in English and Norwegian.
