Job Summary

Cisco is seeking a skilled Sourcing Commodity Manager to lead the development of industry-leading Collaboration commodity strategies and technology road mapping for the Audio Visual Collaboration business globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact and focal point for Business Units to address sourcing and supplier NPI management issues for assigned technologies.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit partners to understand long-term requirements and map them into supply base offerings.
  • Lead and orchestrate roadmap reviews between engineering and suppliers, finding solutions, building proposals, and implementing them to meet business requirements.
  • Advocate for Business Units to shape and evolve commodity strategy.
  • Negotiate and implement sourcing decisions, risk assessment/mitigation, and alternate technical solution development.
  • Oversee large, complex programs consisting of multiple locations and Business Units.

Requirements

  • A self-starter who can independently resolve large-scale project issues and manage partner concerns.
  • Good engineering background or qualifications, with the ability to work comfortably with engineers.
  • Prior experience in Camera and/or Audio Technologies is helpful.
  • Prior Commodity Management, Procurement Engineering experience is advantageous.
  • Business experience, technical knowledge, and people skills, with the ability to work with people toward a shared goal.
  • An innovator who loves technology and can influence both inside and outside Cisco to implement strategy.
  • Strong negotiation skills to ensure Cisco is competitive in the marketplace and customers love our products.
  • A blend of commercial acumen with engineering problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, R&D engineers, and other colleagues.
