About Sensio
We are a Nordic leader in the health care technology sector, tackling today's and tomorrow's elderly care challenges for residents, patients, healthcare personnel, and society.
We create sensors, systems, and platforms that improve quality and efficiency in health care. Our goal is to make technology work for us, providing more time for care.
Our journey began as the leading tech company in Scandinavia in the elderly care space and continues as we expand across Europe, partnering with organizations to drive change.
This summer, we were acquired by Nordic Capital, a top private equity company. We have one of the leading in-house product development organizations in Norway, with about 80 product people on our team. In total, we're a team of 210 colleagues across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the UK, and Germany.
Learn more about Sensio and our products here.
About the Role
We're hiring a Head of IT to build and lead our internal IT function from scratch. You'll take over operations from an external provider and establish the foundation for how we manage IT across the company.
This role offers full ownership of our internal IT roadmap, covering access management, internal tools, internal support, and security compliance. You'll collaborate closely with our infrastructure team and CISO, playing a key role in supporting both daily operations and long-term scaling.
The position reports to the COO and is part of the Shared Services team.
We're seeking someone with operational excellence and strong technical skills. As the first in-house IT leader, you'll drive strategic decisions to scale our company through digital tools and systems. The role involves hands-on work, especially in the beginning, so a practical mindset and willingness to get into details are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead Sensio's in-house IT operations.
- Ensure secure and seamless identity and access management across all platforms.
- Provide responsive and proactive IT support for employees, both in-office and remote.
- Automate IT workflows (e.g., onboarding, provisioning, compliance).
- Oversee software licensing, device management, and vendor relationships.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Strengthen security and compliance in line with frameworks like ISO 27001 and Zero Trust.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT administration, DevOps, or systems engineering.
- Strong technical background across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
- Solid understanding of networking, identity management, and endpoint security.
- Hands-on skills in automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Experience managing hybrid environments and supporting distributed teams.
- Familiarity with security standards (ISO 27001, RBAC, MFA) and compliance best practices.
- Fluency in English; Norwegian is a plus.
Benefits
- A central role in a fast-growing, international health tech company.
- Meaningful work with purpose – making a difference for healthcare professionals and patients.
- Great opportunities for professional and personal development.
- A hybrid and flexible working environment built on trust and collaboration.
- New offices at Møllergata 4, Oslo.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
