Senior Geophysical Surveyor

Nexans is expanding its team and seeking a Senior Geophysical Surveyor to join our Generation & Transmission business group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality geophysical and geotechnical surveys for our marine cable laying projects.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in geophysical and geotechnical surveys, with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in offshore or subsea operations. A BSc or MSc degree in Land & Hydrographic surveying, Geophysics, Geology, Geomatics or similar is required.
You will work closely with project managers and engineers to develop technical solutions related to the survey aspect of marine cable laying and marine subsea protection. This will involve evaluating survey proposals, specifying survey equipment/personnel needed, and providing survey input to procedures, plans, analyses, calculations and other documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate survey proposals and specify survey equipment/personnel needed
- Provide survey input to procedures, plans, analyses, calculations and other documentation
- Develop technical solutions related to the survey aspect of marine cable laying and marine subsea protection
- Participate in QA and HSE activities internally in the department and in projects
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc degree in Land & Hydrographic surveying, Geophysics, Geology, Geomatics or similar
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in offshore or subsea operations related to geophysical and geotechnical surveys or positioning
- Knowledge about ESRI ArcGIS and Eiva Navimodel is an advantage
- Fluent in English - oral and written; Norwegian and/or French is a plus
