Senior Engineer - Offshore Concrete Structures

DNV is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team in the Offshore Concrete Structures department. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for developing expertise in offshore concrete structures and gaining a comprehensive understanding of our business and loadbearing structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing expertise in offshore concrete structures and gaining a comprehensive understanding of our business and loadbearing structures.
  • Engaging in project work, technology development, and service enhancement to address complex offshore industry challenges.
  • Contributing to multidisciplinary project teams covering various aspects of structural integrity, including environmental load assessments, foundation analysis, and asset management.
  • Collaborating with a skilled team of concrete and grout specialists, leveraging global offices for seamless teamwork.
  • Performing technical tasks within integrated project teams, including FE analysis, laboratory testing, and risk-based inspections.
  • Driving business development and sales initiatives while mentoring junior staff members.
  • Conducting structural integrity assessments for a diverse range of assets, from offshore concrete structures to infrastructure facilities and ports.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering and concrete structures.
  • Several years of experience working with offshore concrete structures, including design expertise.
  • Proficiency in numerical nonlinear analyses is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the offshore industry and relevant markets is preferred.
  • Possesses a commercial mindset with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in written and oral English; proficiency in a Scandinavian language, preferably Norwegian, is beneficial.
