About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Oslo, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components for our drone platforms, including designing complex mechanical parts using 3D CAD, utilizing 3D printing and additive manufacturing techniques, and managing relationships with suppliers.

You will also oversee the mechanical hardware for our hardware-in-the-loop test environment and develop cutting-edge lab environments to support our software and AI teams. Your expertise in FEM and CFD analysis and simulations will be crucial in enhancing the performance and structural integrity of our drone platforms.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong communication skills in English and excellent problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is advantageous, and residence and work permit in Norway are required.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and modify mechanical components for existing and future drone models using 3D CAD.
  • Utilize 3D printing and additive manufacturing techniques for prototyping and part production.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and external manufacturing partners.
  • Oversee and develop our hardware lab and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test suite.
  • Perform FEM and CFD analysis and simulations to enhance performance and structural integrity.
