Payroll Specialist

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Abbott in Oslo, Norway. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the payroll function for employees in our Norwegian commercial and manufacturing entities. You will work closely with our Finance team and collaborate with Payroll colleagues in other countries to develop and improve the payroll function across EMEA West.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly payroll, including backup documentation and reconciliations.
• Stay up-to-date on payroll-related legislation.
• Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related matters from employees.
• Support payroll reviews as part of internal and external audits.
• Update master data in the payroll system.
• Maintain employee data in the pension portal.
• Provide ad-hoc reports to HR, Shared Service Center, etc.
• Administer our Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Request refunds from NAV.
• Send information to public authorities and trade unions.
• Check for completeness of supporting payroll documents.
• Improve the efficiency of payroll processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or another related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
• Good command of Excel.
• Experience with SAP and SD-Worx is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Norwegian payroll rules.
• Fluency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language as well as English (written and verbal).
