About the Role

As a postdoctoral research fellow, you will be working closely with our esteemed professor, Dr. Ruth Brenk, and her team to develop innovative methods for structure-based drug design using artificial intelligence. You will be responsible for designing and implementing AI-driven approaches to predict the affinities of designed compounds and validating these methods using real-life drug discovery examples.

About the LEAD AI Fellowship Programme

The LEAD AI program is a career and mobility fellowship program funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme. This program provides high-quality inter- and transdisciplinary research and training opportunities in the area of artificial intelligence.

Key requirements for the position include:

  • PhD in medicinal chemistry or computational chemistry with specialization in cheminformatics, structure-based drug design, or related fields
  • Experience in ligand- or structure-based drug design
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Excellent skills in oral and written English
