Role Summary:

We have new positions within our Europe Technical team for pre­sales solution professionals with experience within the Cloud Native 2G/3G/4G/5G Packet Core, IMS, Policy Control, DPI, and Cloud Infrastructure industry.

These positions are based in Mavenir's EMEA region in one of our Northern European offices, however the roles will come with regular travel throughout the region; work closely with the VP of sales in the region & report to the EMEA Presales VP. The right to work in Europe is essential.

The roles will be pivotal in expanding the success of our solutions in the region and will be able to influence the direction of the customer proposition. This role will also be pivotal in supporting the transition and sales enablement of our AI based solutions from Network Intelligence to AI based applications. Proven experience in 2G/3G/4G/5G Packet Core, Policy Control, DPI, Cloud Infrastructures, and IMS networks will be beneficial to the application.

The successful candidates will have either a successful track record in technical pre-sales in the wireless telecommunications industry – a direct pre-sales and in-depth technology related experience in the Core/IMS/VAS market. Or a successful track record in technical design/strategy development in the wireless telecommunications industry. Ideal candidate would have recent previous presales experience on the above-mentioned technologies with tier 1 MNO's in the Scandinavian/Northern Europe region. Additional experience on the MNO side will be considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Mavenir's Packet Core, IMS, Messaging, Security and AI network & product selling strategy in the region
  • Lead the technology engagement alongside the sales team in all phases of the selling process.
  • Effectively Interact with external customers, partners and colleagues in sales organization and product lines.
  • Work with Account managers to identify/qualify customer & prospect opportunities & define requirements
  • Work with Product Managers to reflect customer requirements in feature set & road map
  • Lead, manage & provide direct technical input to customer RFXs.
  • Drive and when needed perform effective dimensioning of the offered solutions
  • Understand pricing mechanisms and support sales team in building commercial proposals.
  • Lead the preparation of technical sales materials including all associated collateral documentation including high level solution proposals, highlighting technical strength of the Mavenir solutions.
  • Lead POC activities with customers

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of vIMS and/or 2G/3G/4G/5G Packet Core technology and understanding of vendor landscape and competitive solutions.
  • Excellent understanding of public/hybrid and private carrier grade cloud solutions including automation and migration strategies.
  • Good understanding of AI principles and in developing sales enablement strategies.
  • Ability to influence and interact with all levels - from CTO to individual designer.
  • Good understanding of the 3GPP standards.
  • Good understanding of e2e network slicing and in developing customer solutions.
  • Good understanding of operator core and IT networks including IT/OSS integration requirements for commercial rollout of solutions.
  • Good understanding of MNO security and anti-fraud technologies.
  • Excellent understanding of the technology and deployment methods used to support VoLTE & VoWiFi.
  • Good understanding of the benefits and impacts of moving to cloud native core network elements.
  • Highly proficient listener & consultative sales style with the ability to shape customer thinking
  • Excellent communications skills in verbal, written and presentation forms at senior levels
  • Acute attention to detail & organization
  • Energetic and creative with an upbeat, positive attitude
  • A team player who works well with others, who has strong influencing skills, and is creative and entrepreneurial
  • Significant, proven and demonstratable cellular wireless industry experience
  • Ability to lead detailed presentations and host customer workshops with the ability to influence the customer senior technology teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
