We are looking for a buffet chef to join our team in the winter season. Start approx December 15th to end of March in a 100% position. We offer free board and lodning onsite during the season.

You are creative and like to cook food that tastes good, and you are good at keeping your surroundings clean and tidy. Beeing able to create good vegetarian salads is appreciated as we serve a lot of creative and fresh vegetarian selection on our buffet.

Work tasks:

Preparing evening buffet with various cold buffet dishes, pie pizza and good salads (our buffet has a small but good tasting selection and and it is not a large hotell buffet).

Assist the warm chef during the buffet with refilling

Clean the kitchen togehter with the warm chef before workday is over

Maintain inventory control and make a list for weekly ordering.

Prepare menus with a good overview of allergens and food content togehter with manager.

For us, the most important thing is that you cook with your heart and that you truly enjoy it, while also caring about cleanliness and food safety. Formal education is not the most important as long as you have the passion for coocking along with the experience.

Om bedriften

Lillehammer Fjellstue og Hytteutleie is located at Nordseter in Lillehammerfjellet in the middle of one of Norway's best ski terrain for cross county skiing. The lodge is owned and run by a family who is very happy in Nordseter, and the employees become part of the family. Guests are served breakfast buffet and a light evening buffet daily.

The company has about 200 beds divided into mountain cabins, holiday apartments and hotel rooms, and has a mountain lodge with a restaurant and cozy lounges.

Customer care is important to us and we set high standards for the service attitude of our hosts and employees. We have good ratings on , and Trip Advisor (Travellers Choise 9 years in a row), and our employees must aim to become even better together with us.

We have an international service team that works for us, some of whom have come every winter for 10 years to attend our winter team, all living in a sharing house on the property.
