As Central Procurement Manager, you will lead strategic procurement and category management, optimizing external spend through sourcing, supplier management, and contract oversight. This key role drives cost efficiency and commercial advantage, supporting Elkem's overall strategy.

Most important areas of responsibility:

  • Develop and implement category strategies for assigned areas.
  • Analyze, plan, and execute tenders, RFP processes, and renegotiations.
  • Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) and contract lifecycle management (CLM).
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers and build market knowledge within the category.
  • Ensure compliance with company-wide policies for sourcing, supplier management, and contract management.
  • Drive cost reduction and efficiency within the category and across the company.
  • Contribute commercial expertise to projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in digitalization initiatives to improve procurement processes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to create competitive market conditions for products and services.

Qualifications required for the position:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in supply chain management, procurement, economics, engineering, or equivalent.
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, category management, and commercial negotiations.
  • Ability to establish and execute strategic plans to leverage procurement as a competitive advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and quantify improvement opportunities.
  • Proven experience in negotiations and strategic sourcing processes.
  • Experience from working in an international environment; industrial experience is an advantage.
  • Fluent in one Scandinavian language and English, both written and spoken.
