As part of their continued expansion across the Nordics, they are seeking a skilled
Financial Controller
to join their
Oslo-based operations
.

The Role:

The
Financial Controller
will take ownership of all financial management and reporting activities for the company's Norwegian business. You will oversee project-level cost control, ensure accurate reporting, and support strategic and operational decisions across a portfolio of
complex data centre and industrial build projects
.

Working closely with senior leadership, commercial, and project teams, you'll provide financial insights that drive performance and efficiency across high-value schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all
    financial operations
    for the Norwegian business unit, ensuring compliance with local and group standards.
  • Lead
    budgeting
    ,
    cost control
    ,
    forecasting
    , and
    monthly financial reporting
    for live projects.
  • Partner with
    project and commercial teams
    to ensure accurate cost tracking and profitability analysis.
  • Prepare and present
    management accounts
    , forecasts, and variance analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Oversee
    audit
    ,
    tax
    , and
    regulatory compliance
    in accordance with Norwegian financial laws.
  • Support
    strategic planning
    ,
    cashflow management
    , and
    financial risk assessment
    .
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance financial systems and controls.
  • Collaborate with group finance to maintain consistent and transparent reporting across European operations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (
    ACA / ACCA / CIMA
    or Norwegian equivalent).
  • Proven track record as a
    Financial Controller
    or
    Senior Project Accountant
    within the
    construction
    or
    engineering
    industry.
  • Experience with
    main contractors
    , ideally on
    data centre, industrial, or complex building
    projects.
  • Strong understanding of
    project-based financial management
    ,
    cost accounting
    , and
    ERP/reporting systems
    .
  • In-depth knowledge of
    Norwegian accounting standards
    ,
    tax
    , and
    regulatory compliance
    .
  • Commercially aware with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in
    English
    ; proficiency in
    Norwegian
    is highly advantageous.
