What You Will Really Be Doing
Review, draft, and negotiate customer and supplier contracts - making sure Aize stands strong in every deal.

Bring order to contracts and documentation so the right version is always at hand, and teams don't waste time chasing files.

Translate regulations like GDPR, AI Act, Data Act, and NIS2 into clear processes that Aize can actually work with.

Be a trusted advisor to sales, finance, and HR by giving quick, pragmatic answers that keep things moving.

Keep an eye on upcoming laws and flag what matters, without overcomplicating.

Manage external counsel and Aker Group resources when specialized advice is needed, but do most of the day-to-day yourself.

How
you will be doing this

• Acting as the first in-house legal counsel at Aize, reporting directly to our SVP Finance.
• Working side-by-side with commercial, finance, and product teams to negotiate, and get contracts and compliance right.
• Rolling up your sleeves to read, write, and fix contracts yourself - not just advising from the sidelines.
• Balancing pragmatism with professionalism: you know when to push, when to flag, and when to get help.
• Building relationships across Aize by being approachable, flexible, and solution-oriented.

Team and
Impact
Until now, we have leaned on external support for legal work. That's worked okay, but with international growth, more customers, and increasing regulatory complexity, it's time to bring this in-house.

As our first Legal Counsel, you'll bring structure, clarity, and reliability - making contracts easier, compliance less scary, and ensuring Aize looks professional in every negotiation. You won't be on your own: you'll work with Aker Group and external experts when needed. But day to day, you'll be the one making sure things get done and shaping our legal function moving forward.

Who
we think you are

• Experienced in contract and commercial law (SaaS agreements, NDAs, DPAs, international clauses)
• Pragmatic and structured - you bring clarity where there's mess
• Diplomatic and confident in negotiations, you're able to talk "lawyer to lawyer" when needed
• Flexible and humble - you're not too proud to handle details or small tasks, and you know when to bring in external experts
• Familiar with UK/US frameworks as well as Norwegian law (you don't need to be an expert, but you know what to flag)
