Dalen Bryggjekafé is a lively summer restaurant with a large outdoor terrace on the docks, overlooking the stunning lake Bandak at the end of the Telemark Canal. In the shoulder season, we serve our local community, while in high season, we welcome hundreds of guests daily – from boat travellers and tourists to regulars who return for our great food and relaxed atmosphere.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and independent Chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen. You will be working solo on quieter days and as part of a small team (1–3 chefs per shift) during peak season. Our menu features café-style dishes, pizzas, and à la carte options for both lunch and dinner.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the kitchen operation, preparing and plating dishes to a high standard.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
• Manage stock levels, order supplies, and minimize waste.
• Train and guide junior staff to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, keeping a clean and organized workspace.

Who You Are

• Experienced in working independently in a small or medium-sized kitchen.
• Structured and able to handle high-pressure situations.
• A team player who can also take full responsibility when working alone.
• Positive, solution-oriented, and passionate about great food.

Practical Information
