Security Specialist

We are looking for Security Specialists across multiple markets (Buildings, Energy, Transport, Water). In this role, you will support both internal teams and client-facing activities by providing security guidance in tender work and project execution. You will contribute to building a security-aware culture where employees understand their responsibilities and how to prevent and manage risk.
You will collaborate closely with management, support functions and global security teams to ensure alignment with company frameworks and applicable regulations.
Your key tasks and responsibilities:
Information and protective security
- Provide security advice to tender teams, line managers and project teams
- Manage protective security agreements and related documentation
- Deliver security training and awareness activities as required
- Conduct security clearance interviews where applicable
- Ensure compliance with relevant Norwegian security legislation and client requirements
Operational security
- Develop, implement and maintain security strategies, policies and procedures
- Identify risks, threats and vulnerabilities and propose mitigating actions
- Oversee incident handling, follow-up and continuous improvement
- Coordinate with IT security, information security, compliance, data protection and HSE functions
- Ensure adherence to relevant standards, frameworks and internal requirements
Physical security
- Maintain oversight of physical security across offices and project locations
- Ensure appropriate physical, technical and site security measures are in place
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities in cooperation with Health and Safety
Mandate and reporting
- Authority to manage security priorities and initiatives in Norway
- Authority to take immediate action in response to identified security risks
- Responsibility for coordinating local security resources where applicable
About you
- Relevant higher education or equivalent experience
- Experience within security management in public or private organisations
- Knowledge of risk management, incident management and business continuity
- General understanding of cyber security principles
- Ability to manage complex topics across a large organisation
- Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English
- Relevant security certification or willingness to obtain one
- Eligibility to obtain Norwegian national security clearance
- Structured and dependable, with sound judgement
- Comfortable working across strategic and operational levels
- Collaborative and pragmatic in your approach
- Able to maintain overview while managing details
