An exciting opportunity to head up the Recruitment Unit for a leading international NGO working in Oslo, Norway.
What we are looking for
NORCAP, part of The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient and dynamic Head of Unit Recruitment & Development to provide overall leadership, line management and budget responsibility for the Unit. The successful candidate will also participate in project management and business development and will shape NORCAP’s future development and success by tailoring recruitments to NORCAP’s strategic areas.

What you will do
Overall management of recruitment development, plans and activities
Ensure that NORCAP has available experts that can be deployed in a timely manner according to strategic priorities
Responsible for innovating, optimizing, and professionalizing recruitment processes, and tools
Responsible for unit results, delegating and ensure that recruitment facilitation follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
Lead the unit team to ensure they are equipped to deliver great services in line with their job descriptions
Support the project teams in requesting, planning, and preparing recruitment processes to meet the project goals.
Advise and build capacity across NORCAP on recruitment standards
Advise and support hiring managers and panels on assessments of candidates

What you will bring
Relevant higher education, and minimum 5 years of relevant experience within recruitment and/or HR, including minimum 2 years Management and Leadership experience
Experience from working in complex and dynamic contexts
Experience in operating global recruitment including sourcing, competency-based interviews, talent pools, and use of selection techniques
Certification in psychometric tools, preferably tests from AON
Experience working in an international organization.
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
Knowledge about own leadership style, skills, and development areas

Duty station: Oslo Norway
Contract: Permanent
Travel: up to 10%
Salary/benefits: grade 10 on NRC’s Head Office salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions
