We are EG Building Supply

In EG Building Supply our primary focus is to create a strong and robust vertical software solution that offers the Nordic region's timber and DIY segment a cutting-edge software solution, ensuring long-term viability and supports our customers’ business while meeting current and future market demands. We do this based on state-of-the-art technology and an in-depth understanding of the industry.

You will be joining a team of 45 colleagues from both Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland and India. We have a multitude of backgrounds, but common for all of us is that we are highly engaged and highly motivated for our modernization journey and want to grow stronger together.

Your role and responsibilities

We are embarking on an ambitious modernization journey to transform our business unit and transitioning three legacy platforms to one modern shared platform.

As our Development Director, you will be establishing a development team and driving the success of our vertical solution. It will be your main responsibility to drive and foster a culture where pride in the products and innovation are the key words. You will be responsible for all aspects in the software product development from innovation, project execution, architecture, product quality and reliability, product release to optimizing costs, and processes.

About you
The expectation is that you currently hold a position as a Development Manager or CTO in a software company and have an engineering or computer science education. Special emphasis is being placed on finding a candidate with strong expertise in change management and the ability to drive transformative initiatives within the organization.

Professional competencies:

Strong knowledge of Agile software development. Lifelong learner and demonstrated experience of setting the vision, building, leading and motivating global hybrid teams. Experience in optimizing and improving nearshore and offshore development. Commercial understanding. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
