Are you passionate about tackling climate change and working with cutting-edge technologies? As part of our Environmental Technologies GHG section, you’ll be helping us to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions within the shipping industry. Our team works across Hamburg, Hövik (Oslo), and Gdynia to deliver essential compliance services like EU-MRV, UK-MRV, IMO-DCS, and FuelEU. We are also preparing for the upcoming releases of regulatory frameworks focusing on emissions verification.

As a GHG Product Developer , you will join a dynamic, close-knit team of 3-5 developers focusing on creating new, innovative services. By staying ahead of regulatory changes and turning them into actionable solutions, you will play a key role in our efforts to automate and streamline emissions verification processes, ensuring quality and efficiency across our products and related services.

Creating Smart Solutions: You will develop automated systems for verifying processes, conducting data checks, and building applications that support emissions verification. Staying Ahead of Changes: By keeping an eye on the evolving regulatory landscape, you will identify the needs for new developments and drive innovation. Turning Regulations into Action: You will be responsible for translating complex regulatory requirements into clear technical specifications to guide product development. Ensuring Compliance: Oversee the development of tools related to compliance (like Voyage Leg Verification and MRV/DCS) to make sure everything runs smoothly. Supporting Documentation: Help to create and maintain technical documentation to ensure clear and accurate communication across teams. Testing & Improvement: You will manage and conduct product testing, prepare test data, and review how systems behave to ensure everything functions perfectly. Problem-Solving: Act as the go-to person for issues related to verification tools, bugs, and improvement requests, helping the team stay on track. Collaborating Across Teams:  Coordinate with other teams, clarify needs, and keep stakeholders informed, while also setting priorities and monitoring development progress. Knowledge Sharing: Share updates on new developments with the team and help broaden their understanding of emerging tools and technologies.

About You

To maximize your chances, you need:

Education : A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (preferably Maritime). Experience : At least 2 years of experience within Decarbonization services.  Regulatory Knowledge : Understanding of EU and IMO regulations applicable to decarbonization. Skills : Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and solid organizational skills. Language Proficiency : Fluent in English (C1 level). Travel Ready : Willingness to travel, primarily between Hamburg, Hövik (Oslo), and Gdynia.

Bonus Points For:

Experience working with technical documentation. Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar ticketing systems. Knowledge of programming languages (or a willingness to learn). Previous experience with DNV's decarbonization services.
