We are now looking for a Project Engineer,Navy Navigation to join our team working for a better future.
The location for the position is in Drammen, Norway.
As a Project Engineer,Navy Navigation , your work will focus on these responsibilities
Participate in engineering tasks as documentation and software, as well as in equipment deliveries and services. Act as the point of contact for the customer and internal stakeholders in technical project related topics. Facilitate technical solutions, in close cooperation with the project team and product management. You will be accountable for the performance of the technical projects' deliverables, such as drawings and customizing of software Advise on any changes to designing and potential cost impacts. Work proactive to keep down the cost in balance with meeting the contractual requirements. Participating in internal project status and milestone reviews. Participating in project design review and integration review. Engineering (drawings, database work) tasks and schedules for document/software and equipment deliveries and commissioning /services. Active participation in system design and in project meetings (also overseas, if required) Facilitate technical solutions, including support for ILS documentation. Active Participation in ILS meetings (also overseas, if required) Responsible to follow on the (customer specific as well as internal) quality and security procedures. Coordination and Facilitation of in-house equipment FAT. Facilitation of and Participation in supplier equipment FAT, if required Advise on any changes to designing and potential cost impacts. Perform Naval vessel Navigation product commissioning, test, and trials. (also overseas, if required) Assist other team members as required and promptly resolve Quality/Design issues. Keep confidentiality especially related to Naval contracts. Knowledge of Serial Interface communication protocol Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, and organisational skills. Active Participation in project meetings (also overseas, if required)To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
Fluent in English (communicate effectively in writing and verbally), preferably fluent in a Scandinavian language (as some customers require these skills) Bachelor of Science in a relevant specialisation, e.g. electrical, electronic or software engineering, focusing on Marine Navigation systems. Some years of working experience in the marine industry. General Cyber security knowledge Solid understanding of the working principles of Navigational sensors, e.g. Radar, DGNSS, Echo sounder ect. Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, and organisational skills. Ability to travel overseas. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Personality / Desired behavior
