The Project Planner team is diverse and multicultural with 15 team members located in Oslo. Our team is

responsible for planning all related activities respecting Nexans planning procedures throughout the

lifetime of the projects. With projects all around the world, the team is supporting small and simple projects

to large and complex turn-key projects. The workplace is in Oslo and you will be reporting to the Project

Planning Manager.

Getting a flying start

To succeed in Project Planning, you have experience with project management and detail planning from

the energy industry. You also have experience with Identification, analysis and further follow-up of

schedule risks and opportunities. You have worked in companies that are project driven, and have

activities related to project planning. You have experience working domestically or internationally. Ideally

your experience is related to interconnectors, windfarms, or power from shore. You will be comfortable

with ensuring quality and safety during the projects. You have experience with project planning and have

high standards in execution of work through your natural analytical and structured mindset.

How you make an impact

You will work in the Project Planning team where you will lead and co-ordinate all activities related to

schedule and detail planning under the direction of the Project Planning Manager. To do this you support

the project- and technical management team in planning activities both internally and externally –

governed by the Contract, internal procedures and the Project Model. You will establish the baseline

schedule based on Document Register, Procurement Plan, Manufacturing and Installation schedules –

including critical path analysis. With your pro-active skills you will ensure detailed planning, identification,

analysis and further follow-up of schedule, risk and opportunities. In addition, you will be comfortable

working with identifying and understanding the client, stakeholders and other third-party obligations. You

may also participate in developing efficiencies and take part in technical improvements relevant to our

department. You boost your impact by actively promoting Quality and HSE.

Your starting point when you join

• Relevant College or University degree (experience can compensate)

• Over 5 years of relevant project planning experience

• Training or certification within planning

• Advanced user of planning tool Primavera P6. Good knowledge in MS Project, Excel and other

relevant tools

• In this role the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you have a structured, pro-active and

analytical mindset.

• As we work with detailed planning and it is important to have basic technical and economical

understanding

• Fluent in English, – oral and written, Norwegian is a plus.
