Introduction to role:

As Franchise Head for the Nordics, you are a key leader in the Oncology Business Unit, one of AstraZeneca’s key growth platforms. You are accountable for driving the Franchise performance and managing the P/L. This includes developing the long-range franchise plan & strategic priorities including appropriate resource planning and assignment of responsibilities within the team as well as cross functional coordination.

From your team´s perspective, you are a confident leader who will coach, inspire and develop the marketing and sales team, comprising franchise leads, brand managers and sales managers, to innovate and compete effectively in-market through cohesive cross-functional working both internally and externally.

This role is based either in Oslo or Helsinki.

Accountabilities:

You will act as one of the key members of the Oncology Leadership Team & contribute to the overall Oncology strategy in the Nordics. This also includes influencing and shaping the Global/European strategies and deliverables according to Nordic needs as well as contributing to the development and implementation of the OBU Nordic strategy relentlessly improving the competitiveness of the business unit delivering ever more value for our Nordic customers and stakeholders.

You will also serve as the Country Oncology Commercial Leader for the respective country you are located in. This entails shaping national healthcare policy and partnership working while fostering the local external oncology community and support effective internal collaboration between business units.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in business or life sciences. MBA / desired

• Leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with accountability and a proven track record for delivering on business goals. You can integrate a variety of perspectives into meaningful strategies and programs.

• Broad commercial experience with demonstrated success across various stages of the brand lifecycle, including pre-launch planning, launch execution, HTA validation, and long-term business planning

• Profound understanding of drug development and commercialization in Oncology

• Solid grasp of ongoing paradigm changes and future trends in healthcare commercialization

• Demonstrated ability to build teams and achieve goals by delivering through others. You can create and mobilize an inclusive work environment of highest integrity and quality, fostering learning, growth, individual development and attraction of top talent.

• Proven experience and knowledge of a broad base of external partners and customers including patients, prescribers, payors, providers and in/out license/alliance partners.

• P&L management experience and ability to build a financial narrative

• Experienced with key regulations in the field of pharmaceutical compliance and commercialization
