Using data to understand current patterns and simulation models to predict future trends, we are working with our clients to develop highly automated and digitalised facilities that will enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity in the intralogistics and automation sector. We are looking for an experienced colleague who wants to join us on our journey to scale up our services and become a key player in the field of logistics simulation.

Your role

As a Simulation Specialist at Ramboll, your primary responsibility will be to construct simulation models using FlexSim software. You will also be tasked with preparing input data and analyzing the output from the models. Concurrently, you will carry out the validation and verification of models, ensuring their accuracy by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Your role requires you to be comfortable at presenting findings and recommendations to clients. Moreover, you are expected to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our simulation methodologies and tools, and to keep them aligned with the latest trends and technological advancements in the industry.

Your main areas of responsibility will include:

Development of simulation models, building simulation models to assess complex systems. Programming input to the simulation model (C, C++). Collaboration with colleagues in Logistics & Automation locally and globally. Capability of process-understanding and translating process and flows into models.

About you

A relevant education that has equipped you with skills within simulation and programming. Several years of experience working with building simulation models (including coding, preferably C++). A data-driven, analytical approach to simulation. Proficiency in English. Experience and knowledge within logistics is preferred but not a requirement.

The Logistics & Automation department is part of the global Buildings market at Ramboll. We are a global team of 15 colleagues working out of various locations in the Nordics. We have extensive experience in logistics and automation for hospitals but are also involved in projects for clients in other sectors such as food, pharma, and industry more broadly. Our ambition is to broaden the scope of our services to include more sectors, and further to strengthen our simulation team to become market leading within the field of logistics simulation.
