Job Description

We are seeking a talented Tender Finance Specialist to join our dynamic team at Nexans, a leading global player in the electrification industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our tenders, ensuring profitability and adherence to financial guidelines. This involves developing cost and profit and loss statements, analyzing cost inputs, and optimizing cash flows.

You will play a key role in making our tenders more competitive and financially sound, aligning with the company's strategic goals. Your work will involve close collaboration with various departments, from inception to submission.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in project controlling, cost estimation, and commercial analytics. You will also contribute to the growth and success of our business by providing comprehensive and optimized cost estimates.

A minimum of 5 years of technical or financial education is required, providing a strong foundation for understanding tender complexities. You should have demonstrated experience in project controlling, cost estimation, or commercial analytics, as well as proficiency in English and MS Excel.

Our ideal candidate is an analytical professional with a collaborative spirit, essential for working effectively in a team-oriented environment. You should have a proactive approach to managing cost risks in complex turnkey projects, ensuring project success and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Develop cost and profit and loss statements for tenders
  • Analyze cost inputs from departments, benchmarking, and challenging them to ensure the most competitive tendering solutions
  • Support tendering phases, influencing our approach in negotiations and clarifications, providing comprehensive and optimized cost estimates
  • Assess execution alternatives and their financial impacts through cost simulations, aiding in strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement and Finance teams to manage and mitigate various cost risks
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of technical or financial education
  • Demonstrated experience in project controlling, cost estimation, or commercial analytics
  • Proficiency in English and MS Excel
