Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team in Stockholm. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring continued compliance with EASA regulations for the devices stationed at Nordic training centres. Additionally, adherence to globally recognized quality standards and the CAE Global FSTD Operations Manual (FTOM) is paramount.
This role operates at a supervisory level within the technical team, requiring the incumbent to demonstrate sound judgment and initiative in planning, coordinating, and executing work assignments. This entails aligning activities with established policies and procedures while effectively managing time and resources to achieve business and budgetary goals promptly.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between the training centre and the Technical Managersregarding all matters pertaining to the device's certification.
Assist the Technical Managers in maintaining a comprehensive schedule to ensure timely completion of all FSTD evaluations, essential for upholding the device's qualification.
Collaborate with the Technical Managers to establish a program aimed at aligning simulators with regulatory requirements, particularly through the implementation of Standard Fly Outs across all devices and the training of relevant stakeholders to fulfil this mandate effectively.
Oversee the quality of the program to meet all milestones mandated by regulators concerning objective testing of the device (QTGs), including the training of individual stakeholders involved in QTG testing and MQTG documentation control.
Monitor preparations for Recurrent Evaluations, ensuring completion of necessary tasks such as QTG re-runs, subjective Fly Outs, and QA audits. Subsequently, track progress on any findings and provide 30-Day and follow-up Reports as necessary.
Analyse and offer feedback to technical staff regarding Objective test runs required by regulators for successful certification.
Ensure adherence to FTOM procedures and promote best practices within the technical department.
Create effective solutions for issues arising during evaluations without compromising the device's certification within the designated timeframe. Recognize deficiencies uncovered during the STD Flyout process and promptly communicate them to the technical department for resolution.
Educate personnel in both flight operations and technical departments on the importance of achieving full compliance with regulatory standards to facilitate zero flight time training.
Coordinate and organize the Qualification process for new simulator projects and upgrades, including participation in installation, testing, and qualification activities. Additionally, review technical updates to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
Ideal Profile
Degree in aviation management, engineering, law, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification
2-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the aviation sector.
In-depth knowledge of relevant aviation regulations and standards (EASA regulations)whilst been able to communicate this information articulately to others to enable a successfully compliance by the teams.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess compliance implications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proven track record of successfully managing compliance programs and initiatives.
Strong knowledge of aviation operating procedures related to both aircraft flight training and technical systems operations.
Successfully be able to relate to pilots training requirements driving the technical department to recognize these effectively whilst maintaining the device to regulatory standards.
