Role and Responsibilities
CAE is a leading provider of training solutions for the civil aviation, defence and security industries. We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team in Stockholm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring continued compliance with EASA regulations for the devices stationed at Nordic training centres. This includes maintaining a comprehensive schedule to ensure timely completion of all FSTD evaluations, collaborating with Technical Managers to establish a program aimed at aligning simulators with regulatory requirements, and overseeing the quality of the program to meet all milestones mandated by regulators.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in aviation management, engineering, law, or a related field, and 2-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the aviation sector. They will have in-depth knowledge of relevant aviation regulations and standards, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing compliance programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure continued compliance with EASA regulations for the devices stationed at Nordic training centres.
- Maintain a comprehensive schedule to ensure timely completion of all FSTD evaluations.
- Collaborate with Technical Managers to establish a program aimed at aligning simulators with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the quality of the program to meet all milestones mandated by regulators.
- Monitor preparations for Recurrent Evaluations, ensuring completion of necessary tasks such as QTG re-runs, subjective Fly Outs, and QA audits.
- Analyse and offer feedback to technical staff regarding Objective test runs required by regulators for successful certification.
- Ensure adherence to FTOM procedures and promote best practices within the technical department.
- Create effective solutions for issues arising during evaluations without compromising the device's certification within the designated timeframe.
- Educate personnel in both flight operations and technical departments on the importance of achieving full compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and organize the Qualification process for new simulator projects and upgrades, including participation in installation, testing, and qualification activities.
