The position

By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:
Initiate, develop and execute research and development projects on materials technology. Focus areas are material integrity issues related to hydrogen storage and transport, to ammonia value chain and to carbon capture and storage. Provide specialist advisory services to Equinor operations and projects. Identify business needs, opportunities, and technology gaps in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that design and operational risks are identified and mitigated. Support our leading advisor on Metallic materials and welding.

We are looking for candidates that can contribute to both research and technology development and specialist technical advisory services to various Equinor business areas.

MSc or PhD within materials technology, mechanical engineering or similar. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications. Extensive technical expertise on relevant fields, such as metallurgy or electro chemistry. Broad experience on materials technology from different business perspectives. Desire to learn and take on new challenges. Strong project management skills and capability to lead and motivate people. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Norwegian would be advantageous.
