The opportunity

As the Supplier Quality Engineer, based in Oslo or Bergen (Norway), you will be coaching and managing suppliers according to organization quality standards and policies. Providing advice and training on quality protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and applicable government standards. Resolving supplier problems related to quality, performance and service level. Identifying and certifying alternative suppliers to mitigate supply disruption.

How you'll make an impact

  1. Support Category teams and local SCM teams within the supplier qualification process.
  2. Plan and lead, remote and/or onsite, supplier audits.
  3. Coordinate, monitor and report high-impact supplier nonconformances, driving supplier to identify the root cause and to establish appropriate process controls to prevent recurrence.
  4. Monitor and consolidate the supplier delivery and quality performance KPI's.
  5. Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  1. Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline.
  2. Professional experience working in supplier quality.
  3. Well-developed auditing skills and experience. Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
  4. Expected 25% minimum travelling required.
