The opportunity

As the Supplier Quality Engineer, based in Oslo or Bergen (Norway), you will be coaching and managing suppliers according to organization quality standards and policies. You will provide advice and training on quality protocols and conduct audits to ensure compliance with organization and applicable government standards. You will resolve supplier problems related to quality, performance, and service level, and identify and certify alternative suppliers to mitigate supply disruption.

How you'll make an impact
  • Support Category teams and local SCM teams within the supplier qualification process.
  • Plan and lead remote and/or onsite supplier audits.
  • Coordinate, monitor and report high-impact supplier nonconformances, driving suppliers to identify the root cause and establish appropriate process controls to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and consolidate the supplier delivery and quality performance KPI's.
  • Live Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline.
  • Professional experience working in supplier quality.
  • Well-developed auditing skills and experience. Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in Norwegian and English.
  • Expected 25% minimum travelling required.
