Telenor Norway is looking for a Profitability Lead for one of our newly established value streams.

As the Profitability Lead for our Hardware Sales & Solutions value stream, you will ensure profitability while guiding teams to optimize sales processes, business models, and financial outcomes. The value stream is responsible for billions in revenue for Telenor, overseeing hundreds of stores, external and franchise partners, eCommerce operations, and the development and profitability of new handset concepts and insurance products. It also manages the procurement and logistics of all mobile hardware related to Telenor Norge.
In this role, you'll be part of the leadership team, contributing to shaping one of Telenor Norge's newly established value streams, alongside teams with exceptional expertise in product development, eCommerce, retail, and sales.
What will you work on?
- Develop profitability strategies balancing customer value with financial performance for products, concepts, logistics, and sales channels within Hardware Sales & Solutions.
- Lead pricing, segmentation, and churn models to optimize performance and retention.
- Foster a data-driven culture, providing actionable insights to guide product development and sales.
- Coach teams in embedding profitability considerations into their workflows and aligning with business goals.
- Play a key role in the leadership team, setting direction and promoting continuous improvement.
- Share expertise to empower teams in making strategic decisions toward profitability goals.
- Identify and implement initiatives for both short- and long-term financial growth.
- Ensure the implementation and documentation of changes in processes and business models.
Who are we looking for?
- Hold an MSc or higher in economics, finance, or related fields. Relevant experience can substitute for formal education.
- Strong financial expertise and understanding of profitability drivers.
- A commercial mindset with a proactive approach, strong drive, and the ability to stay focused and persistent in achieving goals.
- Experience in pricing strategy, product/service valuation, and commercial optimization.
- Business acumen and analytical skills, able to translate insights into actionable commercial value.
- Proven track record in implementing initiatives that drive financial impact.
- Experience in managing partner-based business models and ensuring profitability.
- Skilled in change management, with a demonstrated ability to implement new processes.
- Strong coaching abilities, able to inspire teams toward shared profitability goals.
- Fluency in English and Norwegian, with excellent communication skills.
