Job Purpose:
The role provides both technical support to veterinary customers and commercial support to regional sales and marketing teams. Key drive is to help drive veterinary nutrition growth through relationship building and influence of veterinary specialists, key thought leaders, healthcare teams and veterinary students, growing awareness, recommendation and sales of Hill's products. You will ensure the highest levels of customer service and expertise in order to build trust and respect within the veterinary industry, delivering information on Hill's products to specialists and other veterinary clinic accounts to drive their endorsement. The position serves as a technical liaison, consulting, mentoring and training Territory Managers in the Norwegian sales region, but occasionally to the wider Nordic commercial team.

What you will do:

  • In partnership with our customer development team and the key account team, develop and grow relationships with key opportunity customers, including key thought leaders, referral centres, and corporate veterinary practices in the region. Drive nutritional and brand awareness and engagement via core strategies including WSAVA's 5VA elements and nutritional seminars to support objectives.

Key Challenges & Opportunities:

  • To identify and implement strategies for improving and promoting veterinary recommendation of dietetic and wellness nutrition in a time-poor veterinary workforce, where sales of nutritional products may not be seen as a priority.
  • Juggling a highly multifaceted workload, prioritising areas of most commercial importance, whilst being creative in providing time-saving solutions to ensure continued widespread support.
  • Pitching conversations, presentations and technical materials and information at an appropriate level, whilst effectively communicating Hill's evidence-based nutrition and research, maintaining engagement and professionalism, without disparaging competitor products.

  • Strong work ethic; professional appearance and approach; high integrity.
  • Self-motivated and highly competitive.

Who you are:

  • Excellent English language proficiency (written, verbal and presentation) and ability to tailor key messages to audience.
  • Work independently, manage a demanding schedule with some irregular hours and manage travel within region to deliver customer visits/training; some overnight and weekend travel required.
  • Proactive and creative - ability to make sound decisions under conditions of uncertainty or complexity; ability to generate new insights and ways of working to drive business goals.
