Careers

Penetration Tester – Cloud, Oslo

Do you have your "head in the clouds"?

mnemonic is looking for experienced candidates motivated to work with cloud security.

  • Location: Oslo
  • Job type: Full time
  • Deadline: Continuous submission

As a penetration tester, you will combine your hands-on, technical expertise with understanding of industry and business context, to become a trusted advisor for our customers and in the security community.

Maybe you have worked with cloud security for a number of years, or perhaps you have a cloud infrastructure background with an interest for the security domain. Be it Azure, GCP or AWS, we are looking for skills and experience across all cloud providers. Fundamentally, you understand how technology works, you pick things apart, put them back together and enjoy working hands-on to solve demanding problems in creative ways.

About Mnemonic

mnemonic responds to the region's most serious cyberattacks. We work side by side with Europe's most important organisations and critical infrastructure to protect them from the cyberattacks they see today, and what they can expect to see tomorrow.

At more than 400 employees, we are amongst the largest pure play security companies in Europe, and continue to grow rapidly in Norway and internationally. In addition, we are continually ranked by Great Place to Work as one of Norway's and Europe's top workplaces.

You will be working with a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Provide advice and insight for high-risk areas of a given cloud deployment, such as Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Provide advice on cloud security architecture and solution design.
  • Perform vulnerability analyses and penetration testing of cloud environments, ranging in size and complexity from start-up to enterprise grade.
  • Understand and analyse containerised architecture such as Kubernetes.
  • Create tooling, such as scripts, to interface with large cloud-provider exposed APIs in order to perform security testing.

What you will bring

  • Have completed higher technical education, preferably within security or related IT disciplines.
  • Possess hands-on technical experience working with cloud solutions, in particular with Azure.
  • Have a "security mindset" and preferably experience with penetration testing or a cloud infrastructure background with an interest in the security domain.
  • Have consultancy experience.
  • Enjoy collaboration and knowledge sharing, while also taking responsibility for their own deliveries.
  • Are structured and forward-leaning, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Have the ability to clearly communicate complex, technical information in English and Norwegian, both verbally and in writing.

Relevant certifications in cloud technologies are a plus.

Personal skills

  • You are self-motivated and driven.
  • You are a team player both when you're working with colleagues and customers.
  • You take ownership of your tasks and results.
  • You have a passion to learn and continue to develop your skills.
  • You look for new solutions and are able to think outside the box when required.

If you have many of the qualifications we ask for, but feel that our current vacancies are too specific, you are welcome to submit an open application.

Your future team

You will be working in our Technical Risk Services department, a consulting department assisting customers in understanding the technical risks and the vulnerabilities in their IT and OT portfolios.

Among other things, we do penetration and security testing, technical audits, and source code analysis on existing solutions, and establish architecture, processes, and tools to help defend new solutions.

What we can offer

  • An informal and pleasant working environment that provides opportunities for growth, influence and variations in tasks.
  • Competitive salary, share program and bonus scheme that promotes a long-term employment outlook, including attractive pension and insurance coverage.
  • Opportunities for relevant professional training (courses) and conferences.
  • We place a strong emphasis on workplace well-being and teambuilding through social activities, events and trips with colleagues. In addition, we have an inclusive environment that promotes work-life balance and accommodates families.
  • Our HQ is centrally located in Solli plass with work from home opportunities.
  • A workplace that is ranked as one of the best in Europe. In Norway we have been amongst the top 10 workplaces for 10 years in a row. This year, we won our category

How do I apply?
Email us at rekruttering-web@mnemonic.io and write "TRS-consultant" in the subject field. Add a text about why you are right for the job, and your CV.

If you have publications or projects you have worked on that you think represent your technical skills or ability to communicate, please attach or refer to these.

Background checks
We use Semac AS for background checks in our recruitment process. It is an advantage if you qualify for a Norwegian security clearance.
