Position

Production Manager in Norway for an infrastructure project based in Oslo.

Purpose of the position

The production manager has the operational responsibility for the project. This includes responsibility for production follow-up, finances, progress, personnel responsibility, implementation, quality, HSE and the external environment. The plant manager can also have project-specific tasks delegated by the assistant project manager.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  1. Prepare detailed plans, including resource plans for: crews, equipment, and purchasing
  2. Prepare short-term progress plans
  3. Assist the assistant project manager with production calculations, budgets, forecasts/estimates, post-calculation and general financial reporting for the project
  4. Reconcile cost plans
  5. Conduct operational risk assessments
  6. Prepare for project meetings
  7. Enter into agreements with subcontractors and suppliers
  8. Assist the assistant project manager in connection with negotiations with the client regarding unclarified requirements and final settlement

Reporting

  1. Internally; co-responsibility, together with the assistant project manager, for reporting from the project internally.
  2. Remote; Responsibility for reporting in accordance with deadlines set by the client and in the contract

Follow-up of customers and suppliers

  1. Actively follow up the client in the project and ensure good cooperation in the project implementation
  2. Ensure good planning and execution of construction meetings

Qualifications, Certifications & Experience

  1. Engineer or civil engineer, possibly documented experience and results as a Production Manager
  2. Minimum 5-10 years working in a similar role
  3. Desirable in large engineering & construction companies
  4. Fluent in English, preferably Norwegian and desirable Spanish.
