Cornelius Sjømatrestaurant is an idyllic seafood restaurant located on an island outside Bergen, offering a unique gastronomic experience with a selection of seafood from the west coast. Inspired by the local fjords and weather, Cornelius serves a meteorological menu prepared with innovative culinary techniques and a genuine passion for seafood.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Chef role located in Bergen at Cornelius Sjømatrestaurant. The Chef will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, planning and executing seafood-centric menus, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and managing kitchen staff.

Qualifications

  • Culinary Arts, Seafood Cooking, and Menu Planning skills
  • Experience in food preparation and kitchen management
  • Knowledge of seafood sourcing and handling
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in upscale restaurants is a plus
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification
