Product Developer, Wool base layer

We're looking for a Product Developer with expertise in wool development, CMT processes material properties and fabric performance.

In this role, you'll lead the development of wool base layers for men, women, and children, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure products meet our standards for quality, performance, and cost.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the product development process for selected styles from prototype to pre-production samples, ensuring quality at every stage. This includes keeping tech packs updated, reviewing prototypes, conducting fit sessions, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Daily vendor communication, ensuring alignment on production expectations, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors on yarn selection and knitting techniques to ensure quality and cost-efficiency during vendor transitions.
  • Develop products in line with brand design directions and target costs in collaboration with designer.
  • Deliver products that meet brand quality standards, fit, and function.
  • Conduct vendor visits as needed.
  • Actively participate in relevant meetings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant education in garment construction, textiles, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product development.
  • Proven experience in product development for wool base layers.
  • Experience in garment engineering, fiber performance and quality assurance.
  • Experience with industrial knitting and jacquard development.
  • Previous experience working directly with vendors.
  • Familiarity with sportswear construction, manufacturing, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, PLM, and Microsoft 365.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
