Odfjell Technology delivers safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions that save time, cost, and reduce carbon emissions for our clients. Our people connect 50 years of industry experience with the technology of tomorrow. With projects in more than 20 countries, we are looking for talented people who can help us overcome today's challenges and realize the opportunities ahead.

We are looking for a new colleague with a mindset for improvement and development in the area of compensation and benefits. You are not afraid to challenge established routines and suggest changes. You are concerned with details, but you are also able to see connections and consequences. The work tasks can be small or large, structured or sporadic, so being flexible is a big plus. The position has great development opportunities for the right person.

HR Compensation & Benefits is a department in the company's global HR competence team organized under the HR Center of Expertise (CoE) in Bergen. The department has high expertise in relevant regulations, tariff agreements, payroll, wages, and taxes domestic/abroad, secondments, pensions, insurance, welfare schemes, and travel management. The department is also responsible for analyses and reporting within these areas of expertise. HR is part of Odfjell Technology Global Business Services, providing shared services to Odfjell Technology (OTL), Odfjell Drilling (ODL), and Odfjell Oceanwind.

The Odfjell companies are growing in numbers and complexity in Norway and internationally. We are adding strength to the HR department to meet increased activity, efficiency demands, and digitalization projects.

Key responsibilities and areas of work:
  • Be part of the team working on a variety of activities such as planning, calculations, documentation, and reporting.
  • Identify and resolve reporting, process, and system issues.
  • Support international assignments and taxation activities.
  • Participate in the development of digitization of the department's processes and relevant reports.
  • Produce internal and external HR reports.
  • Manage processes around welfare schemes.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of handbooks, manuals, and internal information channels for the department.
  • Communicate with stakeholders about changes and requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant bachelor's or master's degree (economics, IT, HR or equivalent). Relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience.
  • Knowledge, interest, and experience from analysis and reporting work, preferably within HR-related processes.
  • Experience with international taxation for work assignments is an advantage, but not required.
  • Excellent end-user knowledge of digital tools and technical solutions such as HR master data systems, Microsoft (especially SharePoint and Excel), Power BI, and Questback.
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
Personal skills:
  • Analytical and problem solver.
  • Interest in and ability to understand the organization's needs and see connections and consequences.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and proactive communicator.
  • Proactive initiator.
  • Adaptable to the company priorities, flexible in terms of work tasks.
  • A head for numbers, accurate, and enjoy the details in the data.
  • Embodies our core values: Creative, competent, result-oriented, committed, and safety-conscious.
Why you should join our team:

The Odfjell group recognizes that the shift to renewable energy requires a new way of thinking. By leveraging diverse, cross-functional teams, we drive innovation, sustainability, and technological improvements across the business. Our people are at the heart of what we do to drive change as we continue to shape and grow the business.

  • Part of a global company with opportunities for growth and development.
  • Competitive compensation, insurances, and pension.
  • Mobile phone, home internet connection, and other welfare benefits such as cabins, canteen, gym, and social events.
  • Flexible home office opportunities.

We use SEMAC background checks in our recruitment processes.
