Otovo is a small, product-focused team with a mission to take ownership of what we build from start to finish. We believe in high trust, open communication, and giving everyone the freedom to make things better.
As a Data and Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping our product's technical foundation and the data systems that support it. This is an opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility in a collaborative, supportive environment.
About the role
You'll join our close-knit product team and take ownership of two critical areas:
- The Data Stack: We use tools like Airbyte, AWS Redshift, DBT, and Looker to manage and analyze our data. You'll be responsible for ensuring these systems are efficient, reliable, and meet the needs of our growing product.
- The Infrastructure: Alongside the VP of Engineering, you'll share responsibility for the broader infrastructure, built primarily on AWS, while also exploring and adopting the best tools for the job—vendor neutrality is key.
This isn't just about maintaining what we've built. We're looking for someone who's ready to help us improve, evolve, and innovate.
Your responsibilities
- Own and manage our data pipelines, warehouse, and analytics stack.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain and evolve our cloud infrastructure.
- Diagnose and solve complex problems to keep systems running smoothly.
- Evaluate tools and technologies, making thoughtful decisions to meet our needs.
- Work closely with the product team to align technical solutions with business goals.
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with data engineering tools (Airbyte, DBT, Redshift, or similar).
- Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, especially AWS.
- A pragmatic, problem-solving mindset with a focus on building robust systems.
- Strong collaboration skills—this is a team effort
- Bonus points if you have experience with analytics tools like Looker.
What we offer
- Comprehensive pension and insurance benefits
- A collaborative and empowered workplace where your input truly matters.
- The opportunity to work in our central Oslo office with a great team.
- The chance to shape a product and infrastructure stack from the ground up.
