Large Corporates & International (LCI) serves large Norwegian and international corporate clients, including the operations of DNB Finans. The Risk & Strategy (R&S) division is a global premise provider within financial and non-financial risk, strategy, and restructuring. The division is responsible for setting overall direction, coordinating, monitoring implementation, communicating, and reporting on all risk and strategy work in LCI. The Non-Financial Risk & Financial Crime (NFR&FC) section is responsible for the work within non-financial risks, divided into the four departments 1) Privacy & Security, 2) Governance & Operational Risk, 3) Analysis, and 4) Financial Crime & Conduct.

The Department Governance & Operational Risk has the responsibility to support the LCI business to manage non-financial risks. Our goal is to facilitate efficient governance and control of operational risks by being skilled experts and pro-active advisors. We are committed to creating a secure and compliant environment while simplifying governance and operational risk management by AI and new technologies. Our key activities are internal control oversight and governance, management of incidents, third-party risk, issues management, own tax, and emerging risks. In addition, we work with product control, Service Level Agreements, Regulatory Change Management, Supervisory Oversight, and reporting of non-financial risks to different management levels.

Specific about the role

The Risk Advisor operational risk & governance is responsible for efficient governance by simplifying time-consuming tasks within the department and the section. You are at the forefront of leveraging technology and AI to drive innovation and efficiency. In addition, you promote the compliance effect of good governance and internal control; hereby taking an active approach to simplify.

You will work closely with various teams, including risk management, compliance, and business units, to design and execute on new and efficient solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

Deliveries: Operational deliveries of daily tasks within the department and the section.

  1. Design transition from manual risk management to a data-driven risk management: Streamline governance and operational risk processes.
  2. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks using new technologies.
  3. Policy and Procedure Optimization: Review and enhance existing governance policies and procedures to ensure they are efficient and effective.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, also across the section and LCI to ensure alignment and integration of technical solutions with business objectives.
  5. Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on new technologies, ensuring smooth adoption and utilization.
Qualifications:
  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields related to the position.
  2. Experience: 3-5 years experience in governance and/or risk management. Proven experience from transferring manual solutions into simplified and efficient technological solutions.
  3. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is an asset.
  5. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
