Operation Smile Norway is part of Operation Smile, a global nonprofit providing free, life-changing cleft surgery and comprehensive care. Operating in over 60 countries, we focus on sustainable healthcare solutions in resource-limited settings across sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, and Palestine. About the Role
As Fundraising Coordinator, you will play a vital role in fundraising, donor relations, and operational support. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a nonprofit career while working in a flexible, hybrid environment.
You will help secure funding, build partnerships, support events, and manage donor relations while supporting the operations of our team. Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Grant Writing
- Support corporate donor outreach, sponsorship proposals, and grant applications.
- Research funding opportunities (grants, corporate partnerships, community giving programs).
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective donors, high-net-worth individuals, funding institutions, and brand ambassadors.
- Track and report on partnership outreach and fundraising progress (CRM, Salesforce).
Events & Digital Outreach
- Assist in planning and executing fundraising events (logistics, promotion, donor engagement).
- Support social media campaigns and digital outreach to raise awareness.
- Help craft impactful stories and presentations showcasing our work.
Operational & Financial Support
- Assist with account management, payroll, and compliance for our nonprofit foundation.
- Prepare board meeting materials, slides, and minutes in line with legal requirements. (Norwegian fluency is essential for this.)
- Act as a key point of contact for vendors, service providers, and key stakeholders.
Team Support
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Executive Director.
- Help track key performance indicators for corporate partnerships.
- Collaborate with our Norwegian volunteers on training, outreach, and follow-ups.
- Bring creative ideas to our fundraising initiatives.
Who You Are
- Organized & Detail-Oriented – You keep projects running efficiently.
- Strong Communicator – You excel in verbal communication and relationship-building.
- Proactive & Resourceful – You take initiative and find solutions to challenges.
- Passionate About Impact – You care about global health equity and nonprofit work.
- Tech-Savvy – Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce), Canva, Google Suite, PowerPoint, and Tripletex is a necessity
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of nonprofit experience (preferably in fundraising).
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Fluency in Norwegian & English (both written and verbal).
- Experience in sales, business development, events, and grant writing is a plus.
