What you will do:
As a Backend & Machine Learning Engineer on the Product team, your job will be to:

  • Research, develop, and improve.
  • Continuously improve the platform while looking out for new opportunities.
  • Be responsible for all the stages of the feature development cycle.
  • Discuss ideas, design, and take part in workshops.
  • Coordinate with other teams to deliver features of high complexity.
  • Release features to thousands of users.
  • Talk directly to customers (if you are comfortable with that).

Who we think you are:

  • 3+ years experience with backend development.
  • Experience with Python and Django; Nodejs or Elixir is a plus.
  • Experience with Postgresql, MongoDB, or other SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Commitment to the craft and the collaboration involved. Peer reviewing, and writing robust, reusable, and testable code.
  • Understanding of scalability and performance.
  • Ability to lead or self-organize a project through the entire feature development life cycle.

It's a bonus if you have experience with:

  • DevOps.
  • ElasticSearch.
  • Kubernetes and Docker.
  • CI/CD and automation.
  • Terraform with a public cloud like GCP or AWS.
  • High-level knowledge of AI and ML.
