Job Summary:

As a Cloud Deployment Engineer, you will support users and the solutions team in deploying the appropriate cloud solutions on the SLB Delfi platform. You will assist customers throughout the engagement lifecycle, particularly during the Assess, Design, and Deploy phases. Your role will involve enabling customers to adopt Delfi and implementing all digital initiatives.

Typical Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Portfolio teams for Delfi solutions design and deployment.
  • Monitor and track cloud deployment status and performance.
  • Comply with SLB QHSE, SL-IT Cloud standards, and SOC 2 approved processes.
  • Capture best practices through internal knowledge databases.
  • Ensure successful client onboarding to the Delfi environment.
  • Manage infrastructure and image customizations in line with cloud adoption processes.
  • Document customizations and deployment playbooks in Azure DevOps.
  • Install software on-prem as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of system engineering experience with tools such as Studio, Petrel, Techlog, GeoX, etc.
  • Higher education in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in virtual desktop technologies and environments.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technology, SaaS services, migration/transformation, and cloud-native apps.
  • Experience with programming languages like Java, Python, or similar.
  • Knowledge of SQL, licensing models, and FlexLM software.
  • Understanding of Azure, Google, and AWS cloud technologies.
  • Expertise in infrastructure and security, including DNS, DHCP, network standards, LAN/WAN management, firewall, and load balancing.
  • Advanced skills in enterprise storage management, disaster recovery, high availability, and capacity planning.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux administration.
  • Experience with software packaging and automated deployment.
  • Understanding of E&P workflows and associated SLB technologies.
