Your responsibilities may include:

  • Owning and driving technical industrialization of new products, including both technical feedback to guide the designs, requirements & testing and feedback to suppliers on manufacturing processes & technologies.
  • Ensuring that the products that are made, and manufacturing processes used to make them, are optimized for high volume production.
  • Driving problem solving teams for technical issues to ensure best solutions for technical issues (product and/or manufacturing issues), without impacting supply out in the market.
  • Working closely with design/engineering/testing, and contribute in DfX reviews and working groups.
  • Owning and driving risk/failure assessments of process/production across the tiers of the supply chain (e.g. using PFMEA).
  • Being a natural contributor in three part discussions between EMS, sub-suppliers, and reMarkable design/engineering/operations.
  • Reporting to, and sparring with Industrialization Manager.

We are looking for the following experience:

  • Educated in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering, and/or Manufacturing/Quality Engineering or similar technical subjects (Bachelor's Degree or above).
  • Experience with key production processes like injection molding, extrusion, die casting, sheet metal enclosures, SMT etc.
  • Experience in DfX & Industrialization of mass manufacturing products.
  • Fully conversant in engineering drawings to the relevant standards and principles.
  • The ability to influence and enable engineering, design and operations professionals.
  • Able to drive problem solving activities and master of root cause analysis.

Practical Information:

  • Wanted start date: ASAP - Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, but due to Christmas holiday, we will continue the process in January.
  • Being on site, as much as required, to be reMarkable eyes for industrialization. 20% on-site presence at manufacturers is expected, typically in East Asia.
  • Language requirements: Our company language is English.
  • Location: Oslo, Norway (Relocation assistance can be provided).
  • Visa requirements: Citizenship/valid work permit from the EU/EEA. Ability to get Visa for China, Vietnam and surrounding countries (Relocation assistance can be provided).
