To our Imaging & Technology business, we are now seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Imaging Geophysicist to join our Oslo Imaging Center.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of seismic imaging projects. As part of our team, you will contribute to data processing, velocity analysis, quality control, and production workflows, while collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to ensure technical accuracy and project success.

You will be involved in performing parameter testing, preparing production data, engaging in quality reviews, and supporting project planning and delivery. Depending on your experience level, you may also lead technical tasks, mentor colleagues, or manage project stages. This is an exciting opportunity to develop or deepen your technical skills while contributing to meaningful projects that support energy exploration and development globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process seismic data using advanced imaging workflows and tools.
  2. Conduct quality control checks and support delivery of production-ready results.
  3. Perform velocity analysis, parameter testing, and semblance generation.
  4. Collaborate with geophysicists and clients to understand project needs and deliver technical solutions.
  5. Monitor project progress and contribute to task scheduling and documentation.
  6. Participate in technical discussions, client meetings, and reporting.
  7. Contribute to continuous improvement in imaging workflows and project outcomes.
  8. Ensure compliance with QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) standards.

  5. Team-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in sharing knowledge and learning.

  7. Familiarity with production quality control processes and documentation practices.
  8. Project management capabilities.

Qualifications:

  1. Higher university degree in geophysics or similar discipline.
  2. Experience in seismic data processing or geophysical workflows.
  3. Familiarity with seismic processing and imaging software tools is an advantage.
  4. Previous experience in a client-facing or project coordination role is a plus.
