Your Role:COWI collaborates closely with clients and property owners as a strategic partner throughout all phases of their project and operational management, earning a reputation as a highly skilled "trusted advisor." With some of the country's most prestigious construction projects, COWI holds a leading position in the planning and design of major urban development initiatives, essential public buildings, and airports.
We assist public and private clients with expert project management consulting. Now, we are seeking a skilled, committed, and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. You will play a significant part in developing the services offered by the section and ensure that our projects are carried out within agreed budgets, timeframes, and quality standards.
Our Mission:COWI is an international consulting engineering company with approximately 1,450 employees in Norway. We collaborate closely across disciplines within COWI, making us an industry leader. With our main operations in Scandinavia, the UK, North America, and India, we are a team of 7,300 colleagues with advanced knowledge in technology, architecture, energy, and the environment. In the coming years, we will work alongside forward-thinking developers, architects, contractors, and consultants on projects spanning urban and area development, industry and transportation, energy efficiency, water, environmental and climate adaptation, digitalization, and electrification.
Our ongoing complex projects include Fornebubanen, the Government Quarter, Stavanger University Hospital, and more. We enable our clients to deliver projects of high value while contributing to the green transition.
Your Responsibilities:- Serve as the client's Project Manager
- Organize and assess project needs in close dialogue with the client
- Plan, manage, and conduct projects in various phases, including concept development, regulatory processes, contract management, selecting procurement models, risk management, scheduling, and project/financial management
- Develop advisory services within project management to benefit our clients and improve internal routines and processes through knowledge sharing
- Promote close collaboration and effective communication with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Actively contribute to client, market, and proposal development activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant public authority requirements
- Relevant higher education (minimum Bachelor level)
- 10–15 years of project management experience, with a focus on large public-sector projects
- Expertise in early-phase work (idea/concept development)
- Experience with hospital projects, public authority buildings, or defense construction
- Skilled in budgeting, scheduling, planning processes, negotiations, and collaborative project delivery
- Commercial mindset and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and various project frameworks
Security clearance may be required for some projects.
