Job Title: System Resources Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Resources Manager to join our team at Sperton Global AS in Oslo, Norway.

As a Lead, you will be responsible for managing systems data and capacity adjustments and reporting for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain solution for collection, consolidation and aggregation of SMF records.
  2. Establish WLM policies for new LPARs and maintain old ones.
  3. Allocate CPU and memory resources within LPAR.
  4. Monitor Resource usage and trends for zOS, LPARs and subsystems.
  5. Maintain System Usage Reports.
  6. Maintain MXG and SAS code and manage reporting jobs.
  7. Maintain Hardware capacity adjustments according to customer requirements.
  8. Keep Capacity planning and reporting related documentation up-to-date.
  9. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements:
  1. 5 years or more of experience in Capacity planning, administration and reporting.
  2. Programming skills and experience (SAS, web).
  3. z/OS design, z/OS performance features, software consolidation projects.
  4. Experience of z/OS monitors.
  5. Knowledge and experience of TWSC and WLM.
  6. Simple LPAR management (HCD parameters).
  7. Self-initiated software maintenance and error fixing.
  8. Ability to learn new features and deduce problems in the customers value chain.
  9. Proficient in English (must have).
