DNV's Risers and Cables section is seeking a Principal Engineer to join our team at our main office in Høvik, Norway. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with leading experts in their fields and collaborate with others in our vast technical network at DNV.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise in slender marine structures such as risers, cables, and umbilicals
  • Conduct environmental modeling and global analysis of slender marine structures, local finite element analysis (FEA), and structural reliability analysis (SRA) to advise on products, systems, and operations
  • Manage technical advisory projects and customer contact
  • Initiate Joint Industry Projects (JIPs) to drive the industry forward and participate in business development activities
  • Develop and maintain in-house and commercial software for clients
  • Technical qualification of products, integrity management of assets, and certification of products
  • Development and revision of relevant DNV standards and recommended practices
  • Participation in relevant international forums and conferences
