We are seeking a highly skilled Automation/Principal Engineer System Design to join our team at Techconsult AS.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop System Control Diagrams (SCDs), Function Specifications (FS), signal lists, software reports, Context & Hiding diagrams, Alarm classification, and other related documents.
  2. Develop start-up and shut-down sequences for process topsides and subsea facilities.
  3. Participate in internal and external meetings, workshops, and reviews for automation discipline.
  4. Participate in Software FATs and testing on simulator.
  5. Collaborate with equipment Contractors to ensure required SAS interface to other equipment packages/control systems.
  6. Develop and maintain engineering databases for SAS software reports and LCI requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  2. Minimum 8 years' experience from automation engineering in green field projects located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
  3. Minimum 6 years' experience from control system design activities, including System Control Diagram development and responsibilities from green field projects.
  4. Experience with test, verification, and commissioning of process facilities.
  5. Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC.
  6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
  7. A natural team player, with the ability to work independently.
  8. Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements.
  9. Proactive, with a willingness to learn, seek advice, and share experiences with others.
