Instabee Mission Control Team

The Mission Control team at Instabee is responsible for live monitoring of operational quality and incidents, with the goal of ensuring that our users have everything they need for smooth and flawless operations. We significantly influence important company key performance indicators, such as accuracy, delivery success, and cost, while also having the unique opportunity to see our product in action in real life, interacting with physical operations and real people.

Our team consists of one Engineering Manager, three developers, one Product Manager, and one Principal Engineer. We are now looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement backend services to meet the needs of our users.
  • Develop software data structures that map complex real-world logistics scenarios to simple and straightforward solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical and architectural decision-making.
  • Experience with major cloud providers, Kubernetes, Terraform.
  • Work closely with the product team to understand user needs and preferences.
  • Be part of a modern product team that values serving users through innovative solutions.

Our Tech Stack

We use a microservices architecture, driven by careful consideration of trade-offs and suitability for our needs. Our technology choices align with our specific challenges and organizational structure. Our stack includes Kotlin/Java, Go, PostgreSQL, and Google Pub/Sub with Protobuf.

We have two senior Backend Engineers who will be involved in coaching and mentoring to help you get up to speed quickly. Beyond that, we imagine you have some of the following qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Backend Engineer role in a modern tech environment.
  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, or Go.
  • Experience with any RDBMS.
  • Experience with major cloud providers, Kubernetes, Terraform.
  • BSc Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
