
Research Scientist Position

The University of Oslo's Centre for Molecular Biosciences and Medicine Norway (NCMBM) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill the position of Lab Manager. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong background in biotechnology or a related field to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge research in chemical biology and high throughput screening.
About the Job:
- This full-time position is available for a duration of 2 years, divided between the Core Facility for Chemical Biology and High Throughput Screening (CBP) and Dr. Charlotte Boccara's research group Systems Neuroscience and Sleep.
- Responsibilities will include maintaining and programming advanced automated robotic systems, carrying out daily operations, ordering consumables and reagents, participating in assay development and compound management, and contributing to laboratory maintenance.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in biotechnology or a related area is required; a master's degree in a relevant field would be valued.
- Experience working with chemical biology and high throughput screening is preferred.
- Knowledge of robotic technology, lab automation, and automated liquid handling is also an asset.
