About The Role

Our team is seeking a Global Contract Manager located in Norway to join the Global Contracting team and contribute to the success of the Global Contracting function.

The Global Contract Manager will be part of a Global Contracting team and report to one of four Team Leaders in the Global Contracting team. The contract management function is a centrally organized risk management function, providing specialized legal advice on contracts related to the delivery of our projects/services.

The Global Contract Manager will provide formal legal review and risk analysis of customer contracts, advising the bid manager/KAM and other levels of Energy Systems management during the decision-making process. They will ensure that contracts are aligned with the strategic earning ambitions for each customer/segment as well as the overall strategy expectations for Energy Systems with regards to growth, earnings, and cash flow.

The Global Contract Manager will serve as the point of contact for legal/contracts counterparts in customer organizations, ensuring efficient internal collaboration and interface management. Global Contracting is part of the Finance & Performance function (F&P) and works closely with our Regions and global Business Units.

Primary Tasks Of This Role
  • Represent Energy Systems in reviewing, amending, and negotiating a variety of contracts, forms, or agreements with customers.
  • Support the contracting process and contract management.
  • Assess project risks, actively engage in the risk review process for projects, and collaborate with the business on strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Provide advice on legal and commercial contract-related matters as well as on matters pertaining to other functional responsibilities of the Global Contracting team.
  • Advocate and ensure compliance with DNV processes, policies, guidelines, and values.
  • Provide training on legal/contract management issues and risks within the functional scope of the Global Contracting team.
  • Take an active role in identifying potential process improvements and support the implementation of internal improvement projects.
  • Deliver a competent and high-quality product that demonstrates a customer-centric approach (both towards internal and external customers) and provides commercially focused advice and solutions.

About You

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in law or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant work experience as a legal professional or contract manager is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Norwegian; additional skills in other languages are also welcomed.
  • Legal skills in a commercial/transactional context, including reviewing and drafting contracts.
  • Comfortable working as part of a virtual, global, and multi-cultural team.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex projects.
  • Possesses organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
  • Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of professionally managing confidential information.
