About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Advisor to join our Energy Storage team at Kongsberg Gruppen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge energy storage systems for marine applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on battery technology, focusing on the integration of batteries into marine applications.
  • Battery Sizing and Scaling: Oversee the accurate sizing and scaling of battery installations, tailoring solutions to the specific energy demands and operational requirements of each marine application.
  • Development and Engineering: Design, development, and engineering of energy storage systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of batteries into complex marine power systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support for energy storage products already in operation, including troubleshooting and ensuring prompt issue resolution.
  • Technical Specifications: Collaborate with delivery/project teams to prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation for battery and energy storage system projects.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support during the sales process, including client meetings, technical concept drawings, and product information.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, with relevant experience potentially compensating for a formal degree.
  • Experience in energy storage and battery technology, with a focus on marine applications.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, including classification rules and flag state regulations.
  • Familiarity with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and battery control technologies.
  • Fluent communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and ERP systems is an advantage.
